The following list are of foods, chemicals, substances or hormonal issues that will adversley affect your thyroid. If you are unsure of any of them, don't take my word for it, do your own research. I have not explained the why's or how's in this list, just an easily printable list to keep handy.

I have suffered from hypothyroidism for 17 years and this is a list compiled from my own extensive research.

Foods
Cabbage, broccoli, brussel Sprouts, kale, cauliflower,soy sauce, tamari, tofu, tempeh, miso, soy milk, soy cheese, coffee, tea, caffeine, flouride toothpastes, flouridated water, tea, Alcohol, millet, antibiotics,peanuts, soy flour, mustard, dairy products, cured meats, bacon, ham, salami,corn, cassava, sweet potatoes, tapioca, swede, rutabaga, lima beans, soft drinks

Pesticides and chemicals
Flouride, Chlorine, Bromine, chlorpyrifos, pyrethrins, pyrethroids, amitrole, dioxins, polychlorinated biphenyls, EBDC's, perchlorate, radiation

mercury, cadmium, lead

Other things that adversely affect thyroid function
Smoking, oestrogen dominance, adrenal exhaustion
